Characters are listed below according to what circles they move in. Only characters listed as Spirits or part of the Expedition are available for Episode 1. All characters are available for Episode 2.
Unless noted, character genders may be changed. As this is a 1920s-era game, gender roles may be a bit more rigid than usual, but the '20s were also a time of strong women challenging the norm, so don't be afraid to try for unconventional gender-character combinations.

The Expedition
Tom Dawson: A noted archeologist, “Two-Fisted” Tom Dawson is as celebrated in the pulps as he is regarded by his colleagues. The opening of this tomb is a capstone to an illustrious career.
Malik: Malik abd-el Rassul is a legend in the close-knit community of Egypt's archeologist. An expert digger with both decades of experience, and a long lineage of tomb-robbers behind him.
Seth Normand: Born of a French father and Egyptian mother, Seth grew up in the tombs, and has become a master engineer when it comes to excavations. His services are in high demand, and available to the highest bidder.
William Waterhouse: This captain of American industry has taken a keen interest in Egyptology. Not only is he financing the expedition, he is on hand to see the tomb's opening.
Mary Cutter: Mr. Waterhouse's young, pretty secretary seems to be surprisingly at home in the sand and sun of the Egyptian desert, and the deep dangers of ancient tombs. (Gender set by Waterhouse)
Sir David Sinclair: This fixture of Egyptian Society has a reputation as a mystic. This may explain why he has been invited along on the expedition, for he has no past history as an archeologist.

Inspector Keene: Joseph Keene of New York's Finest is on hand tonight to handle the security for the exhibit. (Male)
Brenda Bright: Columnist for the Post, Brenda has a reputation for being at the eye of every storm, notebook in hand and questions at the ready.
Pauly Mazzuchelli: The don of the New York syndicates is a powerful and prestigious man in these Prohibition days. (Male)
Suzie: A bubbly and energetic “flapper”, she is Pauly's date for the evening. (Female)
Joey Carbonari: A man with a few rough edges but the sense to stay quiet, Joey is here as Pauly's bodyguard.
Walter Carson: This “spiritual advisor” to New York's high society has felt a strange pull to be in attendance tonight.
The Cult-Master: In the heart of New York Society, there exists a cult who worships dark, pagan powers which date back millennia. They have old business with this mummy, and so their leader is attending the gala.
The Cat of Isis: This flamboyant and cunning master thief has been the plague of New York for the past year. Given his choice of calling card, tonight's gathering is irresistible.
Samiha Donaldson: This charming lady is “from overseas”, and speaks little about her business. It's unusual to see her at an event this public.
Ibrahim: Miss Donaldson's faithful bodyguard and escort, he's the strong, silent type.
